From the Street corners to becoming a household name for a generation of British youth culture. Synonymous with energy and life force, and known for his enthusiasm for life, Normski has already had a prolific career in a variety of areas including music, television, photography, action sports, fashion and style. With music being his passion! His love of music developed at an early age when he played trombone and drums in the swing band at school. After leaving school he went on to Kingsway College to study all aspects of photographic skills, including film, print and design and theory, before becoming a studio assistant at Camden studios, and then later on Holborn Studios. Combining his talents of music and vision, Normski’s photographic credits have flown the world for record industry companies including Virgin, RCA, SONY, EMI, Chrysalis and REACT to name but a few. This lead on to producing and directing music promos for Reach (China Records) and NSO Force His TV career kicked off in 1991 when he became Britain’s foremost youth presenter on “Dance Energy” for Def 11 on BBC 2. The show ran for five series and due to popular demand. This put Normski firmly on the map in the media world. The show has recently been re-screened on the BBC’s digital channel BBC CHOICE. Also Def 11 slot Normski to present a 50 minute documentary on the history of Rap music for Rapido TV and a 40 minute special “DANGEROUS” featuring Michael Jackson. In 1995 he moved to Channel 4 to launch BOARD STUPID the first ever snowboard show on British TV which he not only presented, but also directed film inserts with stars like Goldie, which was shot in Austria. Normski’s TV credits also include many guest appearances on shows presenting features on break dancing, photography, fashion, style and youth culture. As a radio broadcaster, his credits include “Dance Energy” radio show on Radio One, “Rap Academy” on Kiss 100 FM and VIBE on BBC radio 5. This show won the SONY award racial equalities and harmony in programming. Normski has hosted a number of live international events to crowds as large as 80,000 people, including the Jazz stage at the Phoenix festival 95/96/97, Energy 96 festival of dance music in Zurich, Switzerland, The SONY stage at the BBC Big Bash and the Pepsi Max Mania Extreme sports event in Manchester. Normski has now set up his own audio visual production company naturally named S.K.I TV – Street Knowledge In Total Vision, recently presented ‘Heavy TV’, starred in recent Barcadi advert, UMA awards host and has joined Invincible Magazine.
